About Sangrita

Sangrita Grill + Cantina is an upscale Mexican restaurant and tequila bar in West Maui serving interior and coastal Mexican cuisine and the island’s largest selection of artisanal tequila and mezcal. The menu is passionately prepared with a commitment to wholesome local ingredients, fresh flavors, and culinary flair. Organic produce is used when available. Healthy options, including vegan and gluten-free dishes, are always on the menu.

The restaurant is designed to feel comfortable, intimate, and organic. The vision of award-winning Orange County architect Si Teller, Sangrita’s colorful and creative ambiance is sure to set the stage perfectly for any group to gather. Created to have the feel of a Mexican street scene, the restaurant has indoor/outdoor seating and is eclectic and warmly lit. It features hand-finished walls and ceilings, original murals and portraits by Nashville artist Scott Guion, and a tequila shrine with custom mosaic by Chef Nabavi’s wife, Donna. Chef Nabavi traveled to Java and commissioned each piece of furniture, which is made of reclaimed boat wood.
